The Travisanutto Giovanni SRL Studio begins far back, in 1949. This is the year when Giovanni Travisanutto attends his first course of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in Spilimbergo.

After 4 years as a student, he affirms himself as a teacher in this school for 16 years, until 1971, when he decides to emigrate to the United States of America.

Here he is given the opportunity to work with the Crovatto Mosaics Inc., an affirmed Studio in New York, led by a man of common Friulan roots, Mr. Costante Crovatto.

In this studio, working from an early age, was Stephen Miotto who, under Giovanni’s advice, attended the Scuola Mosaicisti in Spilimbergo.

A strong bond builds between the three mosaicists. The cooperation continues even after Giovanni Travisanutto’s return to Italy, when, with the precious help from his wife Lina, he will create his own Mosaic Studio, here in Spilimbergo. That Studio still bears his name today.
The experience in the US was determinant  in the development of this reality because from the contacts experienced in those years a thick web of cooperation with Artist and specialized Companies that work in the mosaic field was woven. That cooperation continues yielding very satisfying results.

Besides the previously mentioned Crovatto Mosaics Inc., other companies collaborated and are associated with Travisanutto, using their support, first among all the Miotto Mosaics Inc. in New York owned by Stephen Miotto, mentioned above, and Conrad Pickel Studio Inc.in Vero Beach, FL, owned by Paul Pickel and many others.

With these companies, besides having very successful work experiences, has been built in the years friendly relations based on reciprocal trust, reliability and competence in working. The result of this perfect symbiosis is first quality achievements.

In the 80’s The Travisanutto Mosaics had the possibility to meet the Greek Artist, Vlasios Tsotsonis. He has become the utmost exponent of the contemporary Greek Orthodox iconography  and with great pride Travisanutto can affirm that he refers to their Studio to realize his Byzantine mosaics.

In these past 25 years have been created hundreds of highest level mosaic projects that bring splendid art beauty in places all around the world, starting from the big public projects like airports, schools, train and subway stations to the precious religious projects in Churches, Monasteries and Mausoleums.

Both in the past and now, The Travisanutto Mosaics collaborates with the world’s greatest artists, of different styles and tendencies, from the Classics to the connoisseurs of Abstractionism, and to each one of them they reserve all the attention that their experience in this field allows us to give.

Each Mosaic signed by Travisanutto is made with the consciousness that each art project is unique, precious and  exclusive and will remain in time as testimony of their skills.Besides the specialized workmanship within their Studio, Travisanutto also cooperates with the best Artisans from the School of Spilimbergo that are found in this territory and this excellent team gives them the possibility to deliver large mosaic projects within reasonable times.

The materials used in the Mosaics are the best Venetian Smalti and the most beautiful natural marbles that can be found, always in respect of the great tradition of this ancient art.
From the full size of the Artist’s drawing, created by Mr. Ginesio Romano’s expertise hands, to the installation of the finished mosaic, for which are called the best installers that inherit the noble tradition of Friulan terrazzo craftsmen, The Travisanutto Mosaic Studio takes care of every little detail, because they know that the quality of their Mosaic speaks for them for the next centuries.
